Western SwingWestern swing started with Bob Wills, in Oklahoma, listening to Coon-Sanders and McKinney's Cotton Pickers on the radio! That was jazz of the 20's. It was characterized by lots of stops at the end of eight bars. Bob listened, and picked up what he liked. Here is an example. More later. |
