New | Cowtowns (almost all in Kansas)Retrace the railroad westward across Kansas (by following I-70) and you'll hit most of these. A few are out of the way. Dodge City. The Ford County Historical Society has a website here. Historic Front Street was demolished in 1970 in the name of Urban Renewal, but Dodge City does have a festival called "Dodge City Days" in late July. You can read about this and other events on their town website Abilene. The best thing about Abilene today is the song!
