Arizona Gunslinger Smokin' Hot Green Jalapeņo Sauce This sauce sorta tastes "green' but I don't think it tastes like Jalapenos! I like it. It's different from most hot sauces, has a fresh taste. Arizona Gunslinger Jalapeņo Pepper Sauce This sauce is RED. You think "Hey, wait a minute, jalapeno' are Green" Yes, but they turn red as they get very ripe and as they dry, and that's what this sauce is made from. It is a typical red hot sauce, very much like Marie Sharp "hot", hotter than Red Devil, and pretty tasty. Flavor/Heat 3/3
Chipotle should evoke the idea of "smoky" You can expect anything with that word to taste smoky. And this sauce does taste smokey@ Wiki discusses chipotle here, but as usual, it corrupts it with the idea that all peppers are Chili peppers, and idea that drives me crazy!! Generally, Chipotle peppers are jalapeno peppers, dried and smoked, and that is the case here with this hot sauce. It would be good if you wanted to add the "chipotle" flavor, without going all the way to adding a can of chipotle peppers. I like this sauce. It has more flavor than the other AZ sauces, and maybe, a little less heat. Flavor/heat 4/2. (?? If you disagree, write me!!)
